FAQ

Can I unstake my IAG and stake it for a different node?

  • When a node operator wishes to unstake their IAG they are subject to a 3 month node retirement period. This period is used to safeguard the network from abrupt token removal, which could disrupt or delay file availability in extreme cases. 3 months after initiating the retirement process, node operators may withdraw their IAG tokens.

Can I stake my IAG if I don’t have the hardware or the ability to run a node myself?

  • We will soon release our Staking Platform, which will allow IAG token holders to delegate their IAG to an existing node and earn an agreed-upon share of that node's rewards.

Can I add additional storage commitment to my node after it has been launched?

  • You may increase your storage commitment any time from the node details page on the Iagon Web Dashboard.

When should I use the CLI version of the node application over the GUI version?

  • Users have the flexibility to choose between the CLI and GUI versions based on their preference. The GUI version is targeted for those who prefer a visual interface and simpler controls. The CLI version is for those who prefer command-line interaction or remote access control via SSH. It's important to note that the software functions identically in both versions. There are no other specific reasons for choosing one over the other.
